Samsung is joining the AI PC revolution with its latest laptop, the Qualcomm-powered Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge.
The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge joins the series that was first released months earlier. But unlike the initial models, this one is powered by a 3.4GHz and 3.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset.
Qualcomm’s new chips promise up to 45 TOPS of NPU processing that enables on-device AI processes.
The release of the Book 4 Edge happened alongside Microsoft’s announcement of the Copilot Plus PC platform, which has a goal of integrating AI capabilities into the core of Windows computers. This means that the Galaxy Book 4 Edge will have Microsoft AI features like Live Caption and Microsoft Cocreator.
Samsung’s own Galaxy AI features are also here like Circle To Search, Chat Assist, and Live Translate. You’ll also be able to control a Galaxy AI phone right from the laptop.
You can get the Galaxy Book 4 Edge in two sizes: one with a 14-inch screen and the other with a bigger 16-inch size. Both will use a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
It also has a variety of modern and usable ports like the latest WiFi 7 standard, USB-4, and even HDMI and headphone jack.
The Samsung Galaxy 4 Edge has a price of USD1,349 (~Php78,500) for the 14-inch model while the 16-inch comes in at USD1,449 (~Php84,300). It will be available in the US come June 18 with a free 50-inch Crystal UHD 4K TV.
