Starmobile has unveiled a new Windows 10 laptop.
As their entry into the notebook market this holiday season, the company has launched the Starmobile Engage Aura that’s built with a beautiful metallic body and has a thin profile. From the looks of it, it’s inspired by Apple’s MacBook.
Compared to other local manufacturers’ laptops, it features a much better Cherry Trail Z8350 chipset which is clocked at 1.9GHz. Unfortunately, it’s been limited to only 2GB of RAM which can possibly hinder it in multitasking more effectively. One thing that it’s definitely ahead is in the display department. Only in the 14-inch size, though, as it only has 1366 x 768 pixel resolution which equates to a pixel density of 104.

Just recently, O+ USA’s Convertible went on sale for only Php4,119. Another affordable option is the Cherry Mobile laptops which usually range from Php5-6k nowadays. For those who have a bit more budget, there’s the O+ NotePad which comes with a 1080p screen and 4G connectivity.
That’s not to say that this device is not a good deal. In fact, for its introductory price of Php7,990, I could say that it’s quite an offer. But once they roll it to the SRP of Php10,990, it’s not that enticing anymore.
The Starmobile Engage Aura is now available at Lazada. A limited edition gold variant will also be launched by the end of the year. It will be available in Starmobile stores, kiosks, and resellers for Php9,990.
