Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Mi NoteBook Pro 15 2020 for those who need serious computing power on a portable machine.
Running the Mi NoteBook Pro 15 2020 is either an Intel 10th Core i5-10210U for the base model or i7-10510U processor for the top-of-the-line.
Both units have eGPU, which is an NVIDIA MX350. Compared to the GTX 1050, it’s a little bit slower but its performance matches up with the GTX 960M. On the other hand, the previous MX250 is also built on 14nm Pascal architecture, but the MX350 has more than double the TDP of 25 plus a higher memory bandwidth.
To cool things down, Xiaomi equipped the Mi NoteBook Pro 15 2020 with a dual fan and dual cooling pipe solution.
A 512GB NVMe SSD is the base storage, but buyers can go up to 1TB if they need more. In case 8GB RAM is not enough, there’s also an option for 16GB DDR 2666MHz.
The 15.6-inch LCD is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3, so it won’t get scratches easily. Mi NoteBook Pro 15 2020’s Full HD (1080p) panel also has 100% sRGB coverage and brightness of up to 300 nits.
There’s also a full-size keyboard with a 1.5mm key travel and backlighting available. For security purposes, it has a fingerprint scanner inside the trackpad. When it comes to ports, it has two USB-A and 2 USB-C ports on different sides. A 3.5mm jack and HDMI port is also here. Wi-Fi 5and Bluetooth 5.0 rounds up the connectivity features.
Mi NoteBook Pro 15 2020 can last for up to 17 hours of video playback. As far as charging is concerned, it can fill the battery in 50% in as fast as 40 minutes. The other USB-C port can also charge other gadgets at 18W. For audio, two 2.5W Harman speakers can be used. Windows 10 Home is the software of choice.
The Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro 2020 is priced at CNY 6,000 (~Php42,600) for the base 8GB RAM + 512GB storage and i5 processor. On the other hand, the i7 + 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage costs CNY 7,000 (~Php49,700).
