Sinulog Festival is currently happening in Cebu, and Asus is present to join in on the fun. Part of the company’s schedule is the local launch of the Asus ZenFone Zoom on January 16.
That’s only four days from now, at which point Cebuanos and Sinulog tourists can test drive the ZenFone Zoom. This photography-centric smartphone features Android Lollipop, 5.5-inch 1080p display and a 13-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom (12x total magnification) and dual-tone LED flash. Also helping the Zoom deliver fantastic photos are the 10-element HOYA lens arrangement, optical image stabilization, laser auto-focus and other components and features.
The phone is powered by Intel Atom Z3590, a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. PowerVR 6430 handles the graphics, and there are 4GB and 64/128GB of RAM and internal storage available, respectively. In addition, the Zoom offers dual SIM configuration, 4G LTE connectivity and 3000mAh battery.
It’s already more than a year since the ZenFone Zoom was first unveiled, so the local launch here in the Philippines is a long time coming. Still, it’s better late than never. As for when consumers can exactly find the phone in stores for sale, and for how much, we will let you know come launch day.
