Cherry Mobile made news in Barcelona by launching two new smartphones, one of which is the Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon.
Just like other devices in the Alpha series, the Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon is powered by Microsoft’s Windows platform. This handset comes packing a 5-inch IPS display, a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB of RAM.
Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon Specs
- Windows Phone 8.1
- 5-inch IPS LCD (720×1280 HD), ~294ppi
- 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (8212) processor

- 8GB internal storage
- microSD support up to 64GB
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
- Dual SIM with dual standby
- 3G HSPA+
- Bluetooth 4.0
- 2000mAh battery
At the moment, we haven’t a clue on what specs the cameras have. But seeing that the rest of the hardware (along with expected pricing) is similar to those of the Alpha Luxe, it’s a safe guess that the Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Hopefully, the Neon would surprise us with something better.
Other specs of the Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon include dual SIM slots, 3G HSPA+ connectivity, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It further features microSD support up to 64GB and Adreno 302 graphics. Note that these are preliminary specs; things may change when the Alpha Neon officially releases.
No exact price has been set for the Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon, but the company promises to sell the device below 100 euros, which is around Php4,290. Available color choices are cyan, yellow, red, lime and ivory.
