Earlier today, we reported about Huawei’s affordable octa-core Honor 3X, but the company also announced an even cheaper handset for just $130. Meet the Huawei Honor 3C, a quad-core smartphone with 5-inch 720p display running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Running under the Huawei Honor 3C’s hood is a MediaTek MT6582 processor, with a Mali-400 GPU and 2GB of RAM. In front of the device is a 5-megapixel camera, paired with an 8-megapixel main camera (a Sony sensor with f/2.0 aperture) at the back. Huawei’s Emotion UI 2.0 runs on top of the phone’s Android operating system.

Like its octa-core brother, the Huawei Honor 3C has dual-SIM functionality. Six different color variants (white, black, gray, color, pink, and light blue) will be available to choose from, perhaps suggesting that the “C” in 3C stands for “color” (although some are also going for “cheaper” due to the comparatively lower specs and price).
Other specs include the usual connectivity options, sensors (gravity, light, and proximity), 1080p video recording, a multimedia player supporting a wide variety of music and video formats, among others.
Users will be able to pre-order the Huawei Honor 3C today in China. Besides color, the device also comes in versions according to 3G network (TD-SCDMA and WCDMA), as well as RAM size. The 1GB will cost around $130, whereas the 2GB version will set buyers back about $160. There’s no official word on global availability, though.
only for $130 ? really ?
Is this available now in the Philippines? How much and where can I buy it?
bought mine yesterday at Huawei Cyberzone, Megamall
how much po?
I’m gonna wait for this!
This phone will be definitely be a game changer. Both the local and international brands will shake.
If there is still doubt as to how Huawei is going to gain a foothold int the smartphone market this phone should clear things up. An octa core 5″ at 130 bucks, if that price reaches our shore other brands would really feel its presence. Starmobiles’ star would flicker, Myphones’ map would forever be gone and O+ will become – and the other wannabes would simply disappear. Say Merry Christmas while you still can guys.
Sir, pa update naman n2ng thread na ito pag na release na. pero tanung din ako sa mga retailers or distributors para maabangan kung kelan dadating. panalo na ito screen na screen pa lang. swak na
sana nman maging $200 (less) yan dito :( this is a good deal that might somehow shake the local market if the pricing is just right but, yeah taxes here in PH is whooping high! so expected na 9-11k ang price range neto
20-30% price increase lang pagdating dito compared sa mainland china… so malang 9k max yung 1gb version
quite reasonable for the brand and specs isn’t it? :D
local rebranders will sh!t themselves if huawei attacks this price segment with those specs, ahihihihi
This better arrive at our shores, I’ll be sure to buy the 2gb ram variant.
