Smartphone company Infinix has a new chip, Cheetah X1, to power its new phones.
Designed to enhance power management in smartphones, the Infinix Cheetah X1 is a dedicated charging chip that introduces the All-Round FastCharge 2.0 technology. This tech is Infinix’s solution for addressing low battery life and power availability concerns as experienced by young users when they use their phones for social media, outdoor activities, and prolonged gaming sessions.
Three modules comprise the Infinix Cheetah X1: the all-round support module, high-precision power monitor module, and safety module. They work in tandem to support a broad spectrum of charging scenarios. These include 100W multi-speed wired charging, wired/wireless charging and reverse charging, and bypass charging. Protective measures include AI charging protection for night charging.
As the first chip that Infinix developed in-house, the Cheetah X1 was the fruition of a specialized team that adopted wafer-level packaging technology and comprehensive functional integration. After two years of research, Infinix has produced a custom power management chip that the company claims to be one of the smallest in chip size while being the most feature-rich in the market.
The first smartphones confirmed to utilize this dedicated charging chip will be from the upcoming Note 40 lineup. Infinix announced last week that the follow-up to last year’s Note 30 series is expected to launch by March 18.
