Lenovo Mobile Philippines recently showed off on Facebook its all-rounder smartphone, the new Lenovo A516, with an affordable price of just Php5,999.

At such price, the Lenovo A516 offers some decent hardware and software specs. Running under the hood is the new MediaTek MT6572 chipset with two CPU cores both clocked at 1.3GHz, alongside a Mali 400 GPU and 512MB RAM. These specs should allow the device to run a couple of apps without slowing the whole system. The 4.5-inch display uses IPS technology, providing a 178-degree wide viewing angle.

Preloaded in the device are common apps for social networking: Facebook and its messenger app, Skype, and Twitter. Lenovo also included Accuweather, Evernote, and Route 66 Navi+Maps, the last of which is a GPS-based navigation and mapping app that covers Philippine routes. Also bundled is Norton Mobile Security to keep users safe from Android malware.

Posted alongside the A516 in the Facebook page of Lenovo Mobile Philippines is the cheaper A369i. At only Php4,499, it comes with a smaller 4-inch display, 2MP rear camera, and a Li-Po 1500mAh battery. 1. Stupido reasonable price yan and well known brand international ang lenovo. Ang Cherry mobile walang kwenta madali masira at poor pa aftersale. bakla ka yata karamihan kasi gumagamit ng Cherry puros bakla.

      1. I agree. CM units may have better specs at this price, but their quality will give headaches, especially upon sending to their nightmarish customer service.

      1. It all depends on your budget. But I do agree that Cherry Mobile has a “reputation” when it comes to after sales services.
