More and more companies are participating in the heated battle for supremacy in smartphones with budget prices but also jam-packed with formidable specs. Lenovo is the latest to join via its Lenovo S898t+, a 5.3-inch octa-core smartphone for only $126.
Some may say it all started with Motorola’s Moto G ($179), then Huawei and Xiaomi followed through with the Honor 3C ($130) and Redmi ($135), respectively. So what does this new phone from the soon-to-be owner of Motorola have to offer? For starters, the Lenovo S898t+ boasts a 5.3-inch LTPS LCD display by Sharp with 720p resolution, One Glass Solution technology, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection. Running under the hood are the 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, Mali-450 MP4 GPU, and 1GB of RAM. Internal storage is 8GB, with microSD storage expansion available.
Also known as the Golden Warrior S8, the Lenovo S898t+ also comes equipped with 13-megapixel rear- and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. To further sweeten the deal, the body is made of aluminum and coated in gold color. The profile only measures 7.9mm. One minor disappointment is the preinstalled Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but we’re hopeful for a post-launch KitKat update.
The Lenovo S898t+ will launch in China for 788 yuan or approximately $126. Exact release dates remain unknown.

wow wishlist..
I think the downside is the 1gb ram ??
Hope they would not double the price when it comes to the philippines.
This is probably the octa core version of the S920.
Still no word for WCDMA version and I really doubt Lenovo will release this kind of pricing out of China just too bad :/
