Last year, LG released a curved smartphone that was more of an experiment instead of an actual consumer product. After hearing some feedback and making necessary improvements, the Korean-based company has finally revealed a successor, the LG G Flex 2.

The changes are numerous and significant. First off, the screen size went down to 5.5 inches diagonally. That isn’t a bad thing, given that a curved screen and the former 6-inch inch display were a bad mix in the pocket. Everything on the screen is also sharper because of the 1080p resolution. If those drop test videos made you cringe at cracked displays, know that the Gorilla Glass protection is 20 percent better this time.

The original LG G Flex was also notable for its self-healing technology. But while it needed quite some time to finishing the mending process, the G Flex 2 only takes seconds to eliminate scratches on its back.
