Remember the curved-screen LG G Flex smartphone that was announced last month? It has that so-called self-healing technology that can apparently remove scratches on the back cover.
Such an interesting claim, we admitted, sounded unreal back then. Now, there’s a YouTube video to prove its healing capabilities a la X-men’s Wolverine.
While indubitably a true innovation in the smartphone industry, this self-healing tech isn’t entirely the all-powerful protection against the most severe of scratches. Even the video itself made mention that the protective film on the back is only designed to repair any damages done by light scratches. No complete recovery is guaranteed from heavy ones.
