When a big phone just isn’t big enough, then try the new MyPhone Ocean Pro. It’s huge: “bigger in screen, heavy in features.”

So exactly what sorts of features make the MyPhone Ocean Pro that heavy? Perhaps confident in its capability, MyPhone has highlighted the phone’s Magic Camera feature. This seems to be a collection of camera effects and photo filters, such as voice capture, “clever motion”, object eraser (anti-photobombing?), cinemagraph, and face beauty.

The MyPhone Ocean Pro also comes equipped with a professional audio power amplifier. We’ll let you know how this improves music playback performance and how the phone compares to other music-centric smartphones once we have a unit for review. The phone is also noted for having a supper narrow frame design.

The internal hardware of the MyPhone Ocean Pro is decent enough for its price. With a 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582M processor, Mali graphics, and 1GB of RAM running under the hood, this handset features dual SIM capability, 4GB internal storage, external storage expansion, and a variety of sensors, and wireless display.

And now, the downside to the MyPhone Ocean Pro: it may have a bigger screen than most smartphones (so big, that it’s actually considered a phablet), but its qHD resolution translates to a more pixelated display. Battery capacity may also not be enough for a device this big. Like the Iceberg Slim, the phone comes with a lot of apps, which can be considered a boon or just unnecessary. Then again, the Ocean Pro is apparently an entry-level device, so compromises are to be expected.
