OPPO may have been late in entering the foldable phone market, but the Chinese smartphone company has made a significant impact with the launch of the Find N2 Flip. And it’s mainly thanks to one aspect of the phone, the Flexion Hinge.
Originally featured in the first model in the Find N foldable series back in December 2021, the Flexion Hinge remains a key component of the OPPO Find N2 Flip. This teardrop-shaped hinge is now more compact and reduces the crease of the N2 Flip’s folding display. In most use cases, the near-imperceptible crease presents minimal visual and textural interference.

The hinge also allows the device to fold shut with no gap. When the Find N2 Flip is fully folded, it prevents dust and airborne particles from collecting along the crease line and therefore keeps the screen clean and free of debris. It also makes the phone look sleeker than other foldable phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Additionally, the upgraded hinge also has a new cam system and 1/4 spindle assembly to improve the phone’s core functionality. These allow the device to be folded and hold steady at 45- and 110- degrees, which are great angles for binge-watching, taking video calls, or capturing selfies. The materials used for the hinge include a flexible stainless-steel element and a soft, pliable material that makes the hinge strong and light.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip has an official price of Php49,999 in the Philippines. It’s also available in installments and via Globe postpaid plans.
