OnePlus has unveiled it has worked with Pixelworks to incorporate their X7 independent visual processor and IRX gaming experience into the recently launched OnePlus 12.
By leveraging OnePlus’ advanced graphics algorithms in tandem with the visual processing technologies of Pixelworks, the collaboration aims to bring a significant boost to the upcoming flagship smartphone when it comes to high-quality rendering and superior visuals, especially in gaming.
According to OnePlus President and COO Kinder Liu, this collaboration marks a milestone in the company’s decade-long journey in innovation that focuses on immersive visuals alongside superb gaming performance.
Last month, the specifications for the OnePlus 12 were revealed; it’s an Android 14 flagship smartphone with a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a 3.3GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and Adreno 750 graphics. The device also makes use of OnePlus’ proprietary Trinity Engine.
Meanwhile, Ting Xiong, the president of Pixelworks China, expressed excitement about the gaming performance capabilities and advanced display tech of the phone. He commended OnePlus for its consistent pursuit of excellence in smartphone technology and being a long-term strategic partner.
The OnePlus 12 will have a global launch on January 23 in Delhi, India.
