Samsung has unveiled the latest of the Galaxy M series in India. The launch of the Galaxy M01s smartphone comes quickly after last month’s launch of the Galaxy M01 in India, but the new handset comes with a display that is slightly bigger and with fingerprint scanner amongst other features.
The Samsung Galaxy M01s sports a 6.20-inch PLS TFT LCD display with 720×1280 pixels screen resolution and pixel density of 270 pixels per inch (ppi). To power the smartphone, there’s the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM. The operating system runs Android 9 Pie, with 4000mAh battery capacity to keep it up all day.
Talking about the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy M01s has a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. At the front is a 8-megapixel camera for selfies.
The Samsung Galaxy M01s smartphone runs One UI Core 1.1 on top of Android 9 Pie operating system, packed with 32GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a dedicated slot up to 512GB. It has dual SIM slots which supports nano-SIM cards. In addition, the phone weighs 168 grams and measures 157.00 x 76.00 x 7.80mm. It comes in grey and light blue color options.
Connectivity options available on the Galaxy M01s include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Also available on the phone is the proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor and accelerometer with support for face unlock.
The Samsung Galaxy M01s is priced at Rs. 9,999. in India, which is equivalent to around Php6,600 in PH. It will be available in both Samsung online and offline stores, in light blue and grey color options.
