SKK Mobile has unveiled another phone in the Lynx series. An entry-level device, the SKK Mobile Lynx Edge is a quad-core Android handset for Php2,099.
Details are scant for the SKK Mobile Lynx Edge, but we know that it has a 4-inch display with WVGA resolution. There’s a quad-core processor, which is probably a MediaTek that’s clocked at 1.3GHz. Android 4.4 KitKat runs out of the box.
SKK Mobile Lynx Edge Specs
- Android 4.4.2 KitKat
- 4-inch capacitive touchscreen (480×800 WVGA), ~233ppi
- Quad-core processor
- 4GB internal storage
- microSD support up to 64GB
- 2-megapixel main camera, with autofocus and LED flash
- 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front camera
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
- Dual SIM with dual standby
- 3G HSDPA
- Bluetooth
- GPS
The SKK Mobile Lynx Edge only has 4GB of internal storage, so even a few apps can already consume all the available space. Users will have to make do with the microSD card expansion, which fortunately supports up to 64GB. The phone further comes equipped with a 2-megapixel main camera and a VGA front-facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and GPS. Dual SIM slots are available, and the phone can has a built-in FM radio.
Important but undisclosed specs of the SKK Mobile Lynx Edge include the amount of RAM and battery life. We can probably expect 512MB of RAM for basic multitasking, considering that this is an entry-level phone. There shouldn’t be a generous battery life either.
Among all quad-core Android smartphones, the SKK Mobile Lynx Edge self-proclaims to be the most affordable. It only costs Php2,099 and comes in a variety of colors. Being cheap seems to be the theme in the Lynx series, seeing that the original Lynx and the Lynx Lite also have reasonable prices.
