As expected, the Messenger issue that caused images and videos to go missing has been fixed.
Filipino netizens reported yesterday that many Facebook users ‘lost’ their media files on the Messenger app. While some were unaffected, thousands of shares and comments showed that majority of the users experienced the issue.

This was probably caused by outages on the Messenger app, which was seen in the Down Detector PH tracking page.
Fortunately, less than 24 hours after the incident, Facebook finally managed to fix the problem.
