If not something of a long time coming, Toei Animation’s longstanding and hit anime TV series, One Piece, is finally arriving on Netflix on April 15, 2023.
While the announcement will mark the start of a long journey from square one among anime fans, it is unclear, as of writing, whether the license will cover the entire 20 seasons, similar to Netflix Japan.
Meanwhile, Netflix USA currently has 10 seasons of the anime’s long and still ongoing run.
As April 15, 2023 hits the calendar, One Piece anime will become accessible via the on-demand streaming platform in regions outside of the USA and Japan—particularly, in the Philippines, and most likely, neighboring regions as well.

Although the chance to view the anime is nothing particularly fresh overseas, especially among already diehard fans of the franchise, it sets as a good chance to re-familiarize with the anime again by going at it from the very start.
It also makes for a good premise to re-acquaint with the anime again among returning fans as they anticipate the release of the live-action adaptation of the popular anime.
One Piece follows the adventure of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they embark on the open seas in search of the valuable treasure, One Piece, left behind by the illustrious pirate, Gol D. Roger.
Considered one of the “Big 3” anime alongside Naruto and Bleach, One Piece’s enduring presence has resulted in more than 1,000 episodes released, and counting, to date.
