One of the most highly-anticipated flagships for 2020, the ASUS ROG Phone 3, is launching this month.
ASUS subtly put up a countdown timer on its official website for the ASUS ROG Phone 3. It shows a silhouette of the device, with an RGB-lit ASUS ROG LOGO blinking on the back.
The timer ends in 20 days at the time of writing. This means that the ROG Phone 3 will be officially launched on July 22 at 11 PM, Philippines standard time. For those who have been waiting, you can click the Get Notified button and have it written on your calendar.
So, what can we expect from this device? For starters, it’s rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor overclocked at 3.1GHz from 2.8GHz. It managed to pull an AnTuTu Benchmark score of 646,310 — the highest we’ve seen.
It is also rumored to have a whopping 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Plus, a 6.59-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, just like what we saw on the Red Magic Nubia.
One of the most notable addition is the extra camera on the back. The ROG Phone 3 now has three cameras, possibly the addition of a telephoto lens. Lastly, it will also have a large 6,000mAh battery with a 30W fast charger. A 65W charger would be more appropriate for a device at this caliber, but nothing is official yet so we’ll see.
No matter how seemingly accurate they are, these are still rumors. All of which will be confirmed once the ASUS ROG Phone 3 comes out so stay tuned for that.
