A lot of Fujifilm mirrorless cameras are known for their good photography prowess. However, a lot of people who shoot videos always resort to Sony’s offering. But probably not until they get to see the new Fujifilm X-A5.
For starters, let’s admire the retro look that the Fujifilm X-A5— something that most millennials would surely love (I know I do). From the dial buttons on the top, the throwback metal look, and the leather material on each side.
The lack of viewfinder might turn you off. But that compromise was necessary to accommodate its 180-degree tilting LCD touch-screen. You can also find a microphone input, making this a suitable camera for YouTubers and vloggers.
There’s also a retractable flash on top and a slew of buttons right next to the display.
Inside the Fujifilm X-A5, there’s a 24.4-megapixel APS-C sensor. Something that you’d usually find on a camera of this caliber. It’s then partnered with a Bayer color filter, phase-detection autofocus, and 4K video recording capability.
With the X-A5, Fujifilm is also launching their first motorized power zoom lens. It’s the XC15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ, which might be enough to get most photographers going.
The Fujifilm X-A5, together with the aforementioned lens, will retail for a price of USD599.95 starting February 8th. Getting the lens all by itself will cost USD299.95 (around Php15,500).
