zenfone 5 launch date

No, it’s not the Zenfone 5 that was launched in 2014. Although we are not entirely sure how ASUS will name it, we’re talking about the ASUS Zenfone 5, the upcoming flagship that will succeed the Zenfone 4 line.

Based on the teaser launched on their Facebook page, it looks like ASUS will be taking the MWC 2018 stage in Barcelona to announce their new flagship(s) device. The exact date is set for February 27th.

The company hasn’t revealed much about the upcoming ASUS Zenfone 5. However, the teaser suggests that it will have an 18:9 aspect ratio screen – a design trend that the company first implemented on the newly released Zenfone Max Plus.

And if it indeed breaches the high-end territory, we can expect it to sport other high-end features. For one, there’s Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 845 chipset at their disposal.

If that would be the case, it will be one of the first devices to sport the said processor, putting its name right next to the rumored Samsung Galaxy S9.

Also, we can surely expect it to have a dual-camera setup, which can be, logically, better than what the Zenfone 4 Pro has.

But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see until ASUS takes the stage later this month at MWC. Although we can surely expect more leaks and product renders to come out days before the official day so stay tuned for that!
