The Galaxy S9 hype train is in full steam. After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung has finally revealed the official launch date of their highly-anticipated flagship. Plus, renders of the device with a possible third-party case also surfaced online.
The invitations sent to the media leads to the Unpacked event happening on February 25, 2018. Samsung will indeed heat up the MWC 2018 floors as it starts.
“The Camera. Reimagined”, plus a “9” logo highlights the invitation poster, which clearly means that it is indeed the Galaxy S9. In addition, it further justifies that their next flagship will have a greatly improved camera system.
As per the previous leak, the Galaxy S9+ will finally have a dual-camera setup at the back. The two will also have a dual pixel sensor and a variable aperture that can move from f/1.5 to f/2.4. Rumors also suggest that the two devices can shoot 480fps slow-motion videos at 1080p resolution.
It also appears that Samsung has finally addressed the horrible fingerprint scanner location. The S9 is also expected to rock the new Snapdragon 845 processor, and it will feature a stereo speaker setup.
Considering how the leaks have completely laid out what the Samsung Galaxy S9 would be, it appears that there’s not a lot to get excited about when February 25 comes. But still, we do expect Samsung to surprise us when that day arrives.
