Not satisfied with just the announcement of its two new Windows Phones, Cherry Mobile has also unveiled two new tablets that run Windows 8.1. One of these is the new Cherry Mobile Alpha Play, an 8-inch tablet for Php7,999.

An entry-level tablet, the Cherry Mobile Alpha Play sports an 8-inch IPS display with HD resolution. Decent performance is provided by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735D processor that’s clocked at 1.33Ghz. Intel HD handles the graphics department, while basic multi-tasking is possible with 1GB of RAM. All in all, the specs are nothing to brag about. On the plus side, this is a tablet that runs a full-fledged operating system. That means users have access to legacy apps even while on the go.
