DJI’s popular line of smartphone gimbal gets a refresh with the new DJI Osmo Mobile 3.

The improvements start from the hardware itself. The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 is now more compact thanks to its foldable design, so you can easily tuck it in your bag. But if portability is really a big deal, you can check out the DJI Osmo Pocket.

It is a 3-axis gimbal to make sure that your shots are really smooth. There’s also the ActiveTrack 3.0 that can follow subjects in a frame, perfect for moving shots. The dolly zoom feature that we saw on the new DJI Mavic 2 drones also makes an appearance.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 has panorama, timelapse, and hyperlapse modes. It also has gesture support, so you can trigger the shutter while you’re in front of the camera.

To improve your storytelling, the Osmo Mobile 3 has new software features that you can access via the companion app called DJI Mimo. For one, you can easily add templates that applies music, movements, and other effects.

You can edit the video on the app, add transitions and filters, and share it online directly from your phone. No need for importing files and using overwhelming video editor softwares on a computer.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 starts at USD119 (~Php6,200). This package comes with a power cable, wrist strap, storage pouch, and four anti-slip pads. There’s also the Combo package for USD139 (~Php7,300) that adds the Osmo Grip Tripod and a sturdier Osmo Carrying Case.
