Popular actress, painter, and fashion icon Heart Evangelista announced that she will give away free tablets to children who don’t have anything to use for the upcoming online learning setup this school year 2020-2021.
To help fulfill this initiave, Heart Evangelista partnered with local eletronics company Cherry Mobile.
UPDATE: 550 free tablets will be given away by Heart Evangelista.
After the tweet, the actress receive tons of messages but she still promised to respond personally to all of them. Even though she can’t give something to everyone, Heart says she will try to help as much as she can.

Yesterday, Evangelista posted on Instagram Story a video of a young child named Mark requesting for a tablet. Due to the overwhelming amount of requests, Heart says that she and her team are still sorting them out. Heart also said that if she already got the address, a tablet will be sent soon.
For the first batch, 50 tablets will be given away for students. The actress said she will announce how many more tablets she will give away soon.
Last night, the Manila government purchased Php994 million worth of laptops and tablets for students and teachers in public schools.
