The HTC 8S was along with its bigger sibling HTC 8X in the recent launch held by HTC and Microsoft. The HTC 8S, like the 8X, will be carrying the Windows Phone 8 platform with it to take on the Android and iOS in the smartphone marketplace. This device is expected to rival Nokia Lumia 820 which is really obvious since both of them were on the mid-range level.
The HTC Windows Phone 8S has a slightly lowered Super LCD display with only 480×800 pixel resolution and with a 233ppi. It will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB of RAM and it will only have a 4GB of internal storage but it is expandable up to 32GB via microSD. HTC’s feature of quick photo snapshots are also built-in on the HTC 8S. Other highlights includes 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Internet Explorer 10. This goes to the new Lumia devices as well. Did you noticed it too?
The HTC 8S Windows Phone 8 price is still undisclosed for now but it will be available starting November. Pricing and availability in the Philippines is still unknown but we’ll update this as soon as the details become clearer.
