As the new Huawei P40 Pro seeds to the media and tech reviewers, praises are starting to come in for this latest flagship device.

DxOMark, one of the most trusted names in camera reviews, has put the latest Huawei P40 Pro both on its best rear and front camera top list.

The P40 Pro, which got a score of 128 in the rear camera performance, has overtaken the OPPO Find X2 Pro by four points. It also got a score of 103 points in the selfie camera performance, leading the Nova 6 5G by three points.

DxOMark praised the P40 Pro’s impressive texture and noise balance, telephoto zoom shots, wide dynamic range, bokeh and night shots; and the fast, consistent, and accurate autofocus.

The video camera also worked great thanks to its reliable image stabilization and vivid colors. The fast autofocus was also present in video mode.

Although, they do have some minor criticism about the cameras on the Huawei P40 Pro. For one, there’s the occasional inaccuracy in color rendering and white balance, underexposure in bright light, and lack of facial detail night mode pictures.

Still, it looks like the Huawei P40 Pro is the best camera phone you can get today. It comes with a 50-megapixel Ultra-Vision camera, 40-megapixel Cine ultra-wide, a 12-megapixel 5x optical lens that can go up to 50x of hybrid zoom, ToF depth sensor, and the new octa-PDAF that was responsible for its fast and accurate autofocus.

All that camera features, plus a full array of high-end specs, makes the P40 Pro a proper flagship device.

As of the moment, we’re still waiting for DxOMark to publish their review of the Galaxy S20 Ultra and Huawei’s own P40 Pro Plus that come with 100x hybrid zoom.
