The Itel FLIP 1 has been introduced. It’s the company’s first flip phone, but not the kind you might think of.

Unlike the Galaxy Z Flip, OPPO Find N3 Flip, or any flip phone with a foldable screen, the Itel FLIP 1 is basically just a clamshell feature phone. Yes, the top part has the screen while the bottom has the physical keypad, just like the flip phones from decades ago.

Existing renders don’t show the screen or the keypad light up, but you can see the gap via the hinge on the inside. A couple of unboxing videos on YouTube (one embedded on top) give us a proper look at the device.

The bottom line is, that you can think of the FLIP 1 as a unique and stylish feature phone instead of Itel’s first entry to the competitive premium flip phone market.

FM radio is also supported, can store up to 2,000 contacts, and 100 messages, and supports Bluetooth calls. Opera Mini Browser is also pre-installed.
