Smartwatches can’t seem to find the perfect momentum to take off, even the Apple Watch can’t save it. And since the big names in the tech world can’t figure it out, maybe we should leave it to the real expert. This time, let’s take a look at the Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon.
Watches serve as a fashion statement to a lot of people — an aspect that tech companies like Apple and Samsung seem to overlook. That’s what the fashion industry is trying to address. And you can expect nothing less with Louis Vuitton in that regard.
The new Louis Vuitton smartwatch came from their traditional Tambour watch. Only this time, they have replaced the mechanical internals with smart hardware to accommodate the Android Wear 2.0 operating system.
With that said, what we know is that the Tambour Horizon has an AMOLED touchscreen at 380 x 380 resolution inside a 42mm stainless steel case, with sapphire glass on top. Louis Vuitton has also packed the watch with exclusive features: customizable watch faces, City Guide and My Flight apps.
