In an advisory to its users via their mobile app, Maya announced that they will charge users a small “Php5 fee” when cashing in from their linked bank accounts. Maya will start charging the new fee on February 26, 2024.

That’s the same fee GCash charges for cashing in from linked BPI and UnionBank accounts.

Meanwhile, BPI recently announced that they will charge a Php10 fee for e-wallet reloading to GCash starting March 1, 2024. Upon checking the website, this rule will only apply to GCash, which means that this method can be an alternative to Maya users who want to transfer funds from their BPI for free.
