In an interview, OnePlus’ CEO confirmed that they are going to unveil the OnePlus 6 in June.
This is in-line with the previous rumor about its release date, which also revealed that the OnePlus 6 will unsurprisingly rock the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
The executive hasn’t revealed the official name yet, but there’s a huge possibility that it will just follow the numerical order following the OnePlus 5T.
Pete Lau also said that they are quite uncertain if they will release a “6T” version this year. But then again, considering the company’s history, the possibility that it is happening again is very likely. A week ago, manufacturer unveiled a Sandstone White version of the 5T.
The CEO also stated that they are thinking of increasing their brand awareness which they will accomplish by partnering with US carriers. If that will push through, the OnePlus brand will finally get noticed by the mainstream market rather than being exclusive to Android enthusiasts.
Aside from their bang for the buck smartphone, OnePlus was also praised because of their good after-sales support. Carl Pei, co-founder, said that the Face Unlock feature found on the 5T will also be coming to the OnePlus 3 and 3T soon.
Now, let’s just wait and see if OnePlus can really deliver.
