Apparently, the OPPO F series is not dead as the company just teased the upcoming release of the new OPPO F15.

With the release of the OPPO Reno 2F, we thought that the company has discontinued the popular F line and consolidated all their mid-range devices under the Reno branding. Obviously, we thought wrong.

OPPO’s arm in India teased the upcoming release of the new OPPO F15. Although an exact release date was not given yet.

With the slogan “Flaunt It Your Way”, the 30-second ad that the company posted hints some of the key features that the device will have. However, the device shown in the video looks exactly similar to the OPPO A91 that was released in China a week ago.

If the OPPO F15 is going to be a rebranded OPPO A91, then, we pretty much know everything there is to know about it.

For one, it has a large 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint scanner baked in. It’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, has a large 4,000mAh battery, and 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

It will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 processor, has 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. A single 16-megapixel selfie camera is sitting on a waterdrop notch on top of the screen. While on the back there’s a quad-camera setup led by a 48-megapixel sensor.

We shall learn more about this device once it’s launched, probably a few weeks from now. There’s also a big chance that we’ll get it here in the Philippines, we’ll just have to wait which name OPPO will use.
