OPPO went to the Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2023 in California to announce the new OPPO MR (mixed reality) Glass.

The new OPPO MR Glass mixed reality headset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ chipset. The headset will be available as a Snapdragon Spaces developer kit later this year in China.

The said OPPO MR Glass Developer Edition will help developers create apps that utilize mixed reality technology. Much like Meta, Microsoft, and Apple, it looks like OPPO is also optimistic that mixed reality is going to be the next big thing in tech after smartphones.

OPPO’s new headset has Binocular video pass-through (VPT), dual front RGB cameras, pancake lenses, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It will come with two joystick controllers, a heart rate sensor, and OPPO’s own SuperVOOC fast charging. It will be available in China this year through EnlightXR.

No word yet when will the device be available to the general public and in other markets.
