redmi-note-10-pro-2gb-virtual-ram-update

Virtual RAM expansion is one of the latest trends in the smartphone world today. Now, this popular feature is coming to the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

So, how does it work? Essentially, the device will take a slice of the device’s storage and turn it into virtual RAM to give an extra boost in multi-tasking and have apps cached longer and launch faster.

We’ve seen that feature comes out of the box on a lot of newer phones. The feature is being brought via over-the-air (OTA) update to the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G.

The update will be initially available to Chinese units and should soon be available in Global models. Once activated, the system will pick 2GB of the internal storage and make it a virtual RAM when needed.

That said, if you have 6GB of RAM, you’d be boosted to 8GB.

This is one of the most exciting smartphone features in a while, especially for those in the budget segment. Albeit, it may require a fast storage to work effectively.
