It’s no secret that Samsung has another variant of its flagship smartphone that has even more RAM and storage than the standard version. The said product has finally made its way in Hong Kong.

This Samsung Galaxy S8+ is pretty much the same as the regular S8 Plus aside from the two major differences in specs. But other than that, they’re identical.

But why did Samsung made a better S8? Perhaps they thought the standard is not powerful enough. Or, it’s just for those who are still into the specifications game in 2017.

To be fair, the regular Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus were already beastly in their own right. However, this new variant can do much more with 2GB more RAM and 64GB more storage.

Now you may be wondering, is there also a 6GB + 128GB variant for the regular S8? Unfortunately, there’s none. If you really want that power, you have to deal with the larger screen.

It’s not yet clear if the upgraded Galaxy S8+ will reach other countries, but previous reports hint that it may also debut in South Korea and China.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage costs HKD 6,998 or approximately $900 USD. If directly converted, that translates to around Php45,000.

Currently, the regular S8+ is priced at Php45,990 in the Philippines. So in case this one makes its way in our country, we expect it to go beyond the Php50,000 mark.
