TCL, primarily known for its television hardware, is venturing into the realm of original content creation. But there’s a twist – the company is leveraging artificial intelligence to produce its first film.

The storyline of “Next Stop Paris” follows a young woman who, after being abandoned by her fiancé, embarks on a solo honeymoon to Paris. Her journey leads to an unexpected encounter with a stranger on the train, setting the stage for a romantic exploration of the French capital.

Despite the anticipation, the release of the film’s trailer has been met with skepticism. Critics highlight inconsistencies in the animation style, ranging from semi-realism to hyperrealistic visuals reminiscent of platforms like Midjourney. Moreover, the emotional portrayal and movement of the characters have been described as lackluster, with poor lip syncing and unnatural movements.

We’ll have to wait and see how “Next Stop Paris” will turn out once it’s out. But if the trailer is any indication, it looks like it won’t be worth the time to watch it in full.
