Cherry Mobile has officially announced its latest smartwatch, the Cherry Watch. Take a look at our hands-on photos of this cool wearable.
According to Cherry Mobile, the Cherry Watch is the perfect companion for the smartphone. It can even replace the smartphone itself, since the Cherry Watch offers a number of phone functionality in addition to its fitness tracking capabilities. If we’re not mistaken, this is the same N5 smartwatch that we saw in the company’s holiday price list last year. It runs on proprietary software, not Android Wear as we previously suggested.
The Cherry Watch offers a 1.54-inch IPS display, 128MB RAM, 64MB onboard storage and up to 32GB of microSD expansion. As a companion device, it offers a smartphone dialer and can pair with smartphones via its Bluetooth 3.0 antenna. The Cherry Watch further offers a single micro-SIM slot, quad-band GSM support, 300mAh battery, VGA camera and a micro-USB port. It’s heavily inspired by the Apple Watch in terms of appearance, with rubber straps available in black and white variants. The official price is Php1,999.
We’d like to give our special thanks to Randolph Novino of Pinoyscreencast for lending his Cherry Watch review unit.
