The Xiaomi MI 5X might still be on the horizon, but it’s already getting quite the attention. In a recent report, the device already passed the 200,000 mark of pre-order registrations — and that’s just in China.

The Xiaomi MI 5X  joins the co-leaked Redmi Note 5A and the Redmi 5 in the rumor mill. Only this time, we have the official release date for the MI 5X. In a post on the MIUI blog, it’s been revealed that the handset will be announced in China on July 26, alongside with the updated MIUI 9.

Xiaomi is yet to announce the complete details of the device. But what we have now are the bits and pieces of details that came from the leaked renders and posters.

It’s been found out that the Xiaomi MI 5X will feature a 5.5-inch display with a 1080p resolution. It is also expected to run on an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM, while a higher-end model is also being rumored to house a Snapdragon 660 with 6GB of RAM.

Moreover, It is also said to sport a dual-camera setup at the back. There are a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensor and a Samsung S5k3m3 one. There’s also a 16-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies.

The renders also suggest that it will sport a fingerprint scanner on the back, quite possibly a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack (thankfully).
