Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has announced a new smart television set during its maiden conference at CES 2017.
The SmartTV is dubbed as the Mi TV 4, which comes with an ultra-thin frame that’s just 4.9mm thick. The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 also has absolutely no bezels at the edges, giving it a sleek look.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 features a metal body and uses a modular system detaching the electronic components from the panel. The awesome thing about the modular design is that the SmartTV display is separate from the speaker and the motherboard. Thus, if there is need to upgrade any of the components, that can be done independently without needing to change the entire system.

In addition, there is a Patchwall software which is in reality, a deep learning AI system infused inside the Smart TV’s operating system. The artificial Intelligence (AI) system is said to be capable of predicting content by following what the user had watched in the past. There is also a 10-speaker soundbar that also come with two wireless speakers and a subwoofer. The Soundbar system supports Dolby Atmos surround sound.
The Mi TV 4 comes in three different display sizes namely, 65-inches, 59-inches and 49-inch version. Unfortunately, the company did not say when the device will ship out of China, even though it was launched at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, USA. However, the device will be available later this year for a price hovering around $2,000 USD in China.
