After long months of waiting and high-anticipation, Xiaomi Philippines is finally bringing the Redmi Note 7 in the country.

The company’s local arm just sent invites to a media launch event for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, which is happening on March 20. It appears that the said event is exclusive for the media, so don’t expect the device to be available in the market right away.

Since we started covering the Redmi Note 7, we’ve been bombarded with tons of questions asking where and when it’s going to be available and how much it will cost. Finally, we’ll have a more definite answer to those questions very soon.

The excitement surrounding this device isn’t really surprising considering all the features it offers for the price. The device has a starting price of only CNY999 (~Php7,700) in China.

For that price, you’re already getting a smartphone with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, a large 6.3-inch FHD+ display, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It even has some sort of water protection.

It will also feature a pixel-packed 48-megapixel primary sensor, which can take ultra-sharp photos, and bright low-light images thanks to pixel-binning. A large 4,000mAh battery is also included, partnered with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0.
