Vivo clearly made it sure that you can easily tell the V15 and V15 Pro apart, at least from its specs list. While their designs do look similar due to their colors, three camera modules on the back, and a levitating camera on the front, these two models definitely differ in terms of features.
Obviously, the ‘Pro’ version gets fancier things. For one, it has a more colorful Super AMOLED screen, while the former uses the more conventional IPS panel. But to the V15’s credit, it does have a larger 6.53-inch display, which allowed Vivo to put a bigger 4,000mAh battery (compared to the 3,700mAh capacity on the V15 Pro).
Moreover, thanks to its AMOLED screen, the V15 Pro gets to have an in-display fingerprint scanner. This is also one of the main things that you can tell both these devices apart as the V15 has the scanner mounted on the back.
The Vivo V15 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, while the Vivo V15 utilizes a MediaTek Helio P70 chip. Both chipsets are some of the latest from their own respective manufacturers.
On the upside, both smartphones have 32-megapixel pop-up cameras as one of their distinctive features. They also have 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel extra rear cameras However, the V15 Pro has a 48-megapixel primary shooter, while the V15 only has a 12-megapixel sensor.
The two devices come installed with Android 9 Pie and FunTouch OS 9 interface, Vivo’s Dual Engine fast charging technology, a fast and more reliable WiFi ac, and a disappointing microUSB port instead of USB Type-C.

To sum it up, the Vivo V15 Pro is clearly a showcase of today’s latest smartphone technologies. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner, a pixel-packed rear camera, and a levitating selfie-snapper on the front. It also runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which is still the most preferred chipset brand by most people.
But if you don’t really care about any of that, then you might be better off going with the more affordable Vivo V15 instead. Other than saving money, you will also be getting a slightly bigger display, larger battery, and you’d be able to keep its 32-megapixel primary camera.
The Vivo V15 and Vivo V15 Pro official prices in the Philippines are yet to be announced. We’ll be uncovering that important detail in the coming days as an official local launch event is expected to happen this March 20, 2019.
