YouTube users who wished they could give someone else access to a paid channel subscription will have to wish no more as the streaming platform enables the gifting option.

Bringing the word to public consciousness are some prominent streamers who made the tweet today. Partly, as a display of their positive emotions in what appears to be a new monetization tool that rivals that of Twitch.

Twitch, US’ largest live streaming platform, has maintained its dominant position in the industry for its revenue-sharing economy that sees content creators getting the lion’s share of the profit at 70 percent.
