Keen on making YouTube a more conducive platform to its users, including especially content creators, the company is setting a feature that will alleviate users from posting spiteful and harmful comments.
In a blog post, YouTube explained the reason for the upcoming feature, citing the need to encourage “healthy conversation” within the community as the driving force behind the implementation.

Essentially a filter that monitors YouTube’s comment section, the feature will primarily act as a gentle reminder towards users who may be posting inappropriate messages in the comment section. Through the filter, it gives users a chance to pause and reflect on what they would be leaving as a potentially emotionally harmful piece of information.
In conjunction, another layer of the feature will enable creators themselves to manually filter out unwanted comments, which they can either hide from public view or report directly to YouTube, if warranted.
