More rumors and predictions about the upcoming iPhone lineup for 2018 surfaces.

Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, one of the few fairly accurate leakers of Apple products, has released details about the iPhone’s dual SIM functionality. However, despite having his share of correct predictions, we still have to take everything with a grain of salt until it goes official.

Kuo said that two out of three iPhone models this year will be getting the dual SIM capability. Prices for the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone of 2018 could possibly cost somewhere between $650 up to $750 (~Php33,900). For the single SIM variant, it’s expected to start at $550 (~Php28,700) up to $650.

Dual SIM functionality isn’t really popular in the United States, but other parts of the world like Europe and Asia love it.

Aside from accommodating more SIMs, probably the most interesting tidbit here is the rumored lower price point. If Apple goes back to under $600, a lot of consumers would definitely jump ship and leave the competition.

Back in 2016, there were also rumors about an iPhone 7 with dual SIM as pictures with two slots in the SIM tray made waves. However, it didn’t make it into the actual production.

If Apple prices the entry-level iPhone at $550, would you consider it?
