It seems like Samsung is preparing for a grand launch of the Galaxy S8.
The Korean company is hard at work in producing their next flagship. They definitely need to bounce back big time after the unfortunate Galaxy Note 7 incidents that required them to do a global recall and stop production.
The latest rumors about the Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge is that it will be featuring an ultra sharp 5.5-inch 4K Super AMOLED display. It will certainly appeal to VR users as they will get more clarity when using it.
It will be powered by either an Exynos 8895 chipset or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 830 processor. In their previous releases, Samsung used both chips and made them available in different markets. The two are made in next-generation 10nm process.
The company recently unveiled its first ever 6GB RAM smartphone a couple of days ago. Galaxy S8’s RAM is unclear as of the moment, one rumor suggests that it’ll be getting 6GB while the other hints a RAM of up to 8GB. Given its current state, Samsung will likely choose to go with the bigger amount.
Other highlights include an NFC and MST capabilities for Samsung Pay. It’s said to have 80 percent screen-to-body ratio, a little less impressive than the Mi Mix which has 91.3 percent.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be officially announced at Mobile World Congress in February 2017. The handset is expected to be released in March.
Like every other leak, take this with a grain of salt until we see more proof.
