nokia-e1-leaked-budget-phone

We just saw the release of the Nokia 6 without much pomp and from all indications there are other smartphones in the works which would likely drop any moment now.

A recent leak online has exposed the image of what is said to be one of the budget Nokia smartphones that may be coming, and it is dubbed as Nokia E1.

According to the report, the Nokia E1 has received China’s 3C certification but there are hardly any details as to the specifications of the device on 3C’s website. However, on the design aspect, the Nokia E1 is said to feature a regular flat panel display with no frills.

Specs wise, the Nokia E1 is rumored to be coming with either a 5.2 or 5.3-inch H display and would likely be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, teaming up with Adreno 308 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is also 16GB of internal storage which would likely be expandable in case the user wants to. The device may likely support fast charging due to the SD 425 SoC onboard.

In the camera aspect, the rumor gives the Nokia E1 a 13MP main camera sensor with LED flash, as well as a 5MP front-facing shooter. The device, though a budget smartphone, is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box just like its bigger sibling Nokia 6. Other features are still unsure but we expect the E1 to come with the traditional features like dual SIM and dual standby support, 3G, Wi-Fi and others.

Rumors say that the Nokia E1 might be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2017 happening next month in Spain. The E1 could make its debut, accompanied by other Nokia smartphones like the Nokia C1 and Nokia D1C earlier tipped for launch this year. Nokia is also said to be working on its own Artificial intelligent (AI) assistant and it will go by the name “Viki”, meant to take on Microsoft’s Cortana, Apple’s Siri and Google’s Assistant.
