In our previous report, it’s been rumored that HMD Global is preparing a new smartphone dubbed as the Nokia X. As we come closer to the official release, we got a more detailed information about the device.
Based on numerous reports, the device will be actually named as the Nokia X6. One of its highlight features is its display notch on front. But unlike its lookalike, the iPhone X, Nokia’s upcoming smartphone will enter the midrange stage — probably challenging the OPPO F7 and the Vivo V9.
The Nokia X6 is expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 or a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. It will also have a dual-camera setup at the back and a fingerprint scanner just below it. The live photos also suggest that the back is made of a shiny material just like the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
The screen size is said to be 5.8-inches and has an FHD+ resolution. Since it has a display notch, it comes with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Although the leaked photos show a noticeably chunky bottom bezels, which also houses the Nokia logo.
The company is expected to officially unveil the Nokia X6 in China on May 16. The price is rumored to be USD250 (~Php12,900) although we can never really know for sure until the word comes out from HMD Global themselves.
