It appears that OPPO is preparing a new budget-friendly smartphone release. Here we have the leaked specs for a rumored device dubbed as the OPPO A5s, and it’s for you to decide if its really worth waiting for.
From what it looks like, the OPPO A5s is going to be an updated version of the OPPO A7 that was released late last year. This device is expected to come with a MediaTek Helio P35 processor, an update to the Snapdragon 450 on the A7.
The front camera is downgraded to an 8-megapixel one, however, we have the same 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel combo on the back. It also has the same 6.2-inch HD+ (1520 x 720) in-cell display, and a really generous 4,230mAh non-removable battery.
Although it’s still too early to be sure, the OPPO A5s appears to have a different look than the A7. The leaked image shows a plainer back panel, while the A7 has unique patterns on the back.
Also, the A5 is just a tad-bit heavier at 170g (vs 168g), but the dimensions are exactly the same (155.9 x 75.4 x 8.2mm). On the upside, it will be available in more color options. You can get it in Red, Black, Gold, and Green.
The official release date for this device is yet to be announced. But when it comes out, you can get it with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage.
