Late last year, Vivo unveiled the X9 and X9 Plus. The smartphones’ claim to fame is their dual front-facing cameras, a pretty capable processor, and of course, the iPhone-ish design. Now, the Chinese brand is now ready to follow it up with the Vivo X9s and X9s Plus.
While neither of its predecessors were able to make it to the country, we’re hoping that the Vivo X9s and X9s Plus will finally arrive in the Philippines. If so, the duo will probably be competing against the OPPO F3 and F3 Plus, the prominent selfie smartphones in the land with dual front cameras.
Taking a closer look at the teaser photo, a device makes a subtle appearance as it peeks from the model’s pocket. This sneak peek confirms two things: One, it will have almost the same look as its predecessor. Next, there’s no dual-camera setup at the back.
The Plus variant was spotted on TENAA’s website last month. As per the document, the Vivo X9 Plus is said to have a 1.9GHz octa-core processor, a 5.85-inch display, and a 4GB or 64GB storage variants.
Furthermore, the report also suggests that it will indeed have two cameras sensors at front. There are going to be 20-megapixel and 5-megapixel selfie shooters, and a 16-megapixel camera at the back. It will also come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, and a substantially large 3,920mAh battery.
Just the other day, the same manufacturer unveiled their under-display fingerprint scanning technology. The new security feature is only on its early stages. However, a part of us is hoping that it will debut on the Vivo X9s and X9s Plus.
But until then, we just have to wait and see. The new Vivo X9s and X9s Plus are going to be unveiled at an event in Beijing on July 6th.
