Converg ICT recently announced that it had invested around Php2 billion to expand its underground fiber optic network in Panay Island to provide faster internet services in one of the leading tourist destinations in the Philippines, Boracay, and its surrounding provinces.

The internet service provider recently launched its fixed broadband service in Boracay that aims to cater to residential customers and small and big enterprises.

With this expansion, tourists and locals in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country can expect fast and reliable digital solutions from the company.

Converge’s entry to Boracay is expected to benefit the hospitality industry as they brace for the surge of tourists, both local and foreign after the pandemic-related restrictions have been lifted and the sudden government-imposed seven-month closure to rehabilitate the island.

Residential customers can get Converge broadband service for as low as Php1,500 per month which comes with up to 200Mbps. There’s also the 1Gbps plan for Php7,499.

Meanwhile, the company’s FlexiBIZ plans start at Php2,000 per month. You can check all their plans here.
